Wizards no-show against the Bucks, get blown out 123-96.

Giannis Antetekounmpo scores a career-high 39 points as the Bucks blow out the Wizards, 123-96. John Wall and Otto Porter led the way for Washington with 18 points each for the Wizards. Morris added 14 points but was a defensive liability for most of the night.

The Bucks shot a blistering 68 percent from the field in the first quarter and led, 37-29 after the first quarter. Fortunately, the three ball was falling for the Wizards as they knocked down five of their first seven, otherwise, this could have gotten out of hand in the first quarter.

The Wizards were downright awful on defense tonight. Easy put backs on misses and a whopping 66 points in the paint for the Bucks were the main reasons the Wizards got blown out.

The Bucks stretched the lead out to 20 on a three-pointer from Matthew Dellavadova in the third quarter and the Wizards never got any closer.

With the loss, the Wizards fall to 1-2 on this road stretch. The Wizards host this same Bucks team on Monday, December 26th at Verizon Center.

Terrible defense from the Wizards

The Wizards were awful on the defensive-end as they gave up a season-high 73 points in the first half to the Bucks. The Wizards were slow on rotations and when they did switch, it wasn’t very clear to everyone on the court. The Wizards did a poor job in guarding the paint as both Parker and Antetekounmpo did most of their damage from close in.

Otto Porter starts out hot

After suffering back spasms just two nights ago, it was unclear whether Porter would play tonight. Porter responded with 18 points on 7-9 shooting including 4-5 from three-point range. If it wasn’t for Porter in the first quarter, this one could have been over early. Unfortunately, Porter had no answer when guarding Antetekounmpo on the other end.

The Wizards gave up a lot of dunks tonight. Here are some of the best.
