Wizards vs. Hawks final score: Washington beats Atlanta 109-98, finishes season 41-41

In what was a microcosm of the Wizards‘ 2015-2016 campaign, the Wizards took down the playoff-bound Atlanta Hawks, 109-98. The Wizards did it without John Wall, Bradley Beal, Markieff Morris, and Marcin Gortat who all sat out Wednesday’s game.

The Wizards finish the season with a disappointing record of 41-41 as big changes loom; maybe as early as Thursday.

Oddly enough, the Wizards played loose and with energy in a game that had a somber feel to it, with several exit interviews being conducted before the game.

The starting lineup of Sessions-Thornton-Porter-Dudley-Nene was very effective tonight combining for 74 of the Wizards’ 109 points. Nene had one of his best games of the season with 19 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in what might be his last game as a Wizard. He’s set to be a free agent this summer.

Garrett Temple and Kelly Oubre tied for the highlight of the night with these two dunks. Let’s end the season on a positive note why don’t we?
