The Wizards led 67-43 midway through the third quarter and it looked like this would be an easy win. There was a stretch in the third quarter where the Wizards committed seven turnovers in nine possessions. The Wizards committed a horrific 12 turnovers in the quarter as the Sixers trimmed the lead to 12, 73-61 entering the fourth quarter.
Hollis Thompson would tip in a missed shot with 5:30 to play to tie the game at 82.
John Wall would make his free throws down the stretch going 6-6 in the final minutes of play as the Wizards hang on 99-94.

Look no further than point guard John Wall who was one turnover short from notching a quadruple double. Wall ended the night with nine turnovers mainly on forced passes and unforced errors. Wall now has 17 turnovers in the past two games.
Marcus Thornton comes up big: Marcus Thronton led the team in scoring with 18 points on 7-16 shooting off the bench. Thornton hit a key three-pointer at the end of the first half to give the Wizards a 58-39 lead. Thornton hit several key shots in the fourth quarter to get the Wizards out of their funk. This is the first game since the Wizards acquired Thornton that he’s had a real impact.
